GO FIGURE (AND SMALL WORKS FUNDRAISER)

2021 saw the group focusing on figurative works, with a process of creating a sculpture from found objects, making studies and a collage of that sculpture and finally painted works. The resulting exhibition ‘GO FIGURE’ showed just how varied interpretations can be.

In a parallel project, Studio members created small artworks on postcards, with the theme being left to the individual. The Front Gallery showcased nearly 130 of these small works, all of which were priced at $35 with a view to raising funds for the Studio.

GO FIGURE, and the SMALL WORKS FUNDRAISER was open every day in January 2022, from 10.30am to 2pm. With borders open again, we expected some interstate and international visitors as well as Tassie locals and, although all the Covid requirements limited numbers, we were pleased to welcome a great many people.
